about

there was this documentary on HBO about extremely wounded Gulf War veterans hosted by James Gandalfini. it was so affecting, i cried through the whole thing just writing down great quotes from the people's own stories. every lyric is, i think, is just from stuff those people or their loved ones said. the intro i took from an interview with a soldier who lost most of his limbs to an I.E.D.- the interviewer asks the vet, "are you the luckiest or the unluckiest man alive?" and he answers, "a little bit of both i guess."
i tear up every time i hear that song and only after the album was out did i realize how auto-biographical that song kind of is.

The chemistry of the three is intoxicating.
The future is now!
