this would've probably been our single from this record or at least it was everyone's fave song, including the band. in Potsie ,for the first time, i tried to find lyrics by the phonetic patterns the music suggested and thats how the Ballyhoo chorus came about.
with Precious i was always running from anything too Smashing Pumpkins but with Potsie i didn't care at all, i was just having fun. this song was me indulging myself in that vibe and i liked it. even worse when i first found the Ballyhoo chorus it was very much like "Caribou" by the Pixies. we embraced that shit so much we mockingly called ourselves the Smashing Pixies.
